Yes, that is a pink bicycle bell with a skull and crossbones wearing a polka dot bow. 'Twas a gift from my mechanic! ^_^

Thanks! It's only awesome because I have the best mechanic ever. He rebuilt practically the entire thing. That hot pink is a custom powder coat, too. I <3 it so much. ^_^

LMAO! Yeah, it's a little kid's bicycle bell. Sounds exactly like the SFX in the video below. But, like I said, it was a gift from my bike mech, who is totally awesome! And he got it for me because he knows I love hot pink (hard to tell, right?), and because it's just a little bit punk rock. ^_^

Ha! That flashlight is actually marketed as a bike light. It came with the tail light you can barely see glowing at the back of the bike. It has flash and strobe settings, too. The light isn't that strong, but having them keeps me street legal, and it does help a little. One of these days I'll get a decent headlight for it. It's on my list of upgrades, which includes better pedals, and a new bar. :-)

wow. yeah looks like how I took a flash light from Menard's and wraped it on with electrical tape. Get some curled bars? I found a little gem: '87 Schwinn Tempo. Came with hooked pedals and curled bars; just had to put cushier tape over them. Shifter on the frame of the bike is a bit odd, though.
*Not my bike, mine's black and chrome. Same frame size. Was nearly a $2,000 bike back when new, got it for $180 :)
I don't use it nearly enough, though. Up in my parent's garage for the winter with a flat, imploded tire that nearly killed me... or at least nearly launched me into Lake Michigan.

You guys actually have laws about lights on bikes? Interesting

Yup, in Texas we're supposed to ride in the street if bike lanes aren't available. And a head and tail light are required for riding after dark/before dawn. A lot of towns have specific ordinances requiring such, as well. Aside from making you more visible, it also helps keep you from getting a useless ticket. (Yep, I have known cops who pull over cyclists riding without lights and issue them tickets).

That's actually a good idea. Here it's "you really should have a light when riding at night, but if you don't then whatever." I can't tell you how many close calls I've had with people on bikes that don't even have the standard reflectors. And of course they all wear black.

Oh yeah, definitely. Just because it's the law doesn't mean people actually follow it, though. My parents were telling me they nearly hit a cyclist last night. No lights, wearing black, and he was holding a drink in one hand. Real smart, that one. Too many people get hit around here, though. :-( Two cyclists were killed within 3 miles of my house just within the last year. :-/ So yeah, I want to be as visible as possible.

Oh trust me, I looked for pink first. They do come in pink, but none of the stores in my area carried them in that color. *sad face* But I think the blue makes for a nice contrast. ^_^ And no worries about the game. See ya next time!

Kind of. It's part of a really inexpensive bike headlight/tail light combo. It's got an always-on setting, as well as a flashing and a strobe setting. The tail light has different settings, too. I need a better headlight, though.

Umm,you might want to check some state laws. Attaching blue lights to a vehicle in many states is a serious crime. In NC it is illegal to attach a blue light to a non-police vehicle. In NC a bike is a vehicle.

Blue running lights are legal in my state. These would qualify as running lights. Pretty much as long as they don't flash or strobe, I'm good. (See code below. Emphasis mine).
a person may not operate a motor vehicle equipped with a red, white, or blue beacon, flashing, or alternating lights unless the equipment is:
used as specifically authorized by this chapter; or
a running lamp , tail lamp, backup lamp, or turn signal lamp that is used as authorized by law.

Just tonight I saw a black sedan with blue running lights underneath the running boards and a motorcycle with blue lights peeking out from its core. I really can't go a day without seeing at least one person using decorative blue lights somewhere on their vehicle. Guess we're fans 'round these here parts. ^_^
